Editing placed pieces

Editing is a two-stage flow:

  1. Start Edit Preview — scans for a placed Build Part using the Dismantle selection layers/distance and displays a preview over the candidate.
  2. Confirm Edit Selection — locks the target and enters repositioning mode.
  3. Move/rotate using the normal placement preview controls.
  4. Confirm Edit Placement — applies the new pose.
  5. Cancel Edit — restores the original placement when the edit is cancelled.

Use the Continuous option on Start Edit Preview when you want to return to edit-selection mode after each successful edit.

Useful state hooks include Is Editing, Last Edit Build Part, Last Edit Build Part Previous Position, On Edit Selection, and On Confirmed Edit Placement.

Dismantling / destroying

Destroy mode uses a similar preview-confirm flow:

  1. Start Destroy Preview.
  2. Aim at a placed Build Part.
  3. Confirm Destroy to remove it.
  4. Cancel Destroy Preview to exit without removing anything.

Continuous keeps destroy mode active for repeated dismantling.
