Overview

Dialogue Text Animator is an extension layer for Game Creator 2 Dialogue Speech UI. Dialogue content still comes from normal GC2 Dialogue nodes and Speech UI; the module enhances the TMP text presentation at runtime.

Its main workflow is:

  1. Prepare an animator-ready Speech Skin or speech prefab.
  2. Add or assign style assets.
  3. Mark words or ranges with DTA tags such as <link="dta:fear">fear</link>.
  4. Let the animator resolve the tag to a Style Profile and apply motion, typography, audio, and reveal timing.
  5. Use GC2 Visual Scripting when runtime control or branching is needed.

Local tagged-style overrides have priority over the shared Tag Style Pack. This lets a reusable shared tag such as fear behave consistently across the project while a specific Speech UI prefab can override it when necessary.
